There are three key links in the process of map knowledge visualization: the data of map knowledge, the user, and the method of map knowledge visualization. Among the three links, the proper method of map knowledge visualization can not only enrich the presentation form of map data, but also reduce the cognitive barriers and understanding deviation of map knowledge. Based on the analysis of various data types involved in map information, this paper applies text, audio and video, 3D model and other data types to map knowledge visualization by augmented reality technology. The results show that the application of augmented reality technology to map knowledge visualization can enrich the representation of map knowledge visualization, realize real-time interaction between users and map knowledge, and further narrow the differences between map knowledge expression and user spatial cognitive.


1. Background : map knowledge에는 지도 데이터, 사용자, 지도 데이터 시각화 방법이 중요하게 작용한다.  

2. Problem : 그 중 지도 데이터를 어떻게 시각화하는지에 따라 정보를 잘 보여줄 뿐 아니라 cognitive barriers를 줄일 수도 있다. 

3. Solution : 텍스트, 오디오, 3D모델 등 AR를 사용해 지도에 데이터를 매핑한다.

4. Result : 시각적 표현이 풍부해지고 사용자와의 인터렉션이 가능해진다.

5. Contribution : 더 나은 지도 데이터 시각화가 가능하다.
